We’re delighted that 20-year old Laura Asencio has signed with us until 2020. The French rider, who was 5th at the U23 European Road Race Championships is a young up and coming talent, who is a strong climber, as well as a good sprinter.
“I am very happy to join the team for the next season. It’s a nice opportunity to reveal myself at the highest level and to work in a professional environment, I’m really looking forward my new season in a UCI level team with WNT-ROTOR Pro Cycling.” Said Asencio who hails from Valence.
Laura has been with DN Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, picking up results in the Tour de l’Ardeche where she was 4th on stage 2 in 2017, as well as a 9th place at GP Plumelec UCI 1.1 earlier this year.
“I’m delighted to welcome Laura to the team for the next two seasons. She is a young rider with a lot of potential, and she will fit well with our 2019 roster. Laura is the 8th rider to be announced on our 2019 roster, after Lisa Brennauer, Kirsten Wild, Ane Santesteban, Aafke Soet, Anna Badegruber, Lin Teutenberg and Sarah Rijkes.
