Pilote-Fortin continues with WNT-ROTOR through to 2019

23/10/2018

Gabrielle Pilote-Fortin re-signs for WNT-ROTOR Pro Cycling for 2019. The 25 year old Canadian joined the team in 2018 and after a successful year racing in WNT-Rotor colours, she will pull on the jersey for another year.

Pilote-Fortin who has been a key member to a lot of the team’s success in 2018 will be looking to step up again as the new season is fast approaching.

WNT-Rotor DS Dirk Baldinger welcomed Pilote-Fortin back to the team after her first year; “Gabrielle has taken the right steps all year and I believe will be a fundamental rider moving forward into next season, she can carry on improving so I’m really excited.” We spoke to Gabrielle and she had this to say;

“I’m very happy in the team and still so thankful for the opportunity and the trust Dirk gave me in 2018. I needed a chance to do a lot of races and get back into the sport after my bad accident and there aren’t many directors or teams that would’ve done it. I am very motivated by the new team and the new signings, I think it will be a lot different next year but for me it’s a good chance to get more mentorship and to learn how to turn my strengths into results.

I am also super happy that Clara is joining for 2019, she’s one of my best friends, and I have loved her ever since my first day of team camp with Bigla. I’m looking forward to the stage races and the hilly classics, I think our team will be one to look at”

Obviously with friends joining the team Pilote-Fortin can’t wait to get 2019 underway, keep following online and through our social media channels in readiness for the new season.

WNT – Cutting Tool supplier with connection to the cycling industry

WNT is CERATIZIT Group’s competence brand for mass distribution and regional sales, offering high quality cutting tools and a unique service to small and medium-sized enterprises. The Ceratizit Group is a privately owned company, based in Mamer, Luxembourg, which develops and manufactures highly specialised carbide cutting tools, inserts and rods made of hard materials as well as wear parts. With over 9,000 employees at 34 production sites and a sales network of over 70 branch offices, the Group is a global player in the carbide industry.

Cycling has a close connection to WNT products. Many bicycle components are manufactured using metalcutting technology. Important customers, such as the British firm Hope Technology or the Spanish company Rotor Bike Components, use WNT's quality tools to produce their high-quality bicycle parts. Therefore cycling sponsorship is an ideal marketing tool for WNT to increase brand awareness and make products more accessible to the general public outside of the narrow target groups. Despite this, cycling embodies exactly this same spirit, which is already present within the company and its values.
